Mindful Self-Compassion for Teens
Self-talk has a powerful impact on our wellbeing. Critical self-talk can lead to more suffering, increased stress and unhappiness. Kinder self-talk can lead to less suffering, more calm and contentment. The Mindful Self-Compassion for Teens program provides teens with tools to decrease volume of their inner critic and increase volume of their compassionate voice. Speaking to ourselves in a more compassionate way reduces stress; leading to a healthier attitude on life and on ourselves. Topics in this course include:
- Role of inner critic,
- Geting in touch with your compassionate voice,
- Why self-compassion is more reliable than self-esteem,
- The cost of social comparison,
- Exploring your core values,
- Power of gratitude.
